  • Publication number: 20120314515
Abstract: In a semiconductor memory device, the output of a regulator is coupled to the inputs of first and second switches, the output of the first switch is coupled to a path for supplying the drain voltage of a memory cell in the first mode, and the output of the second switch is coupled to a path for supplying the gate voltage of the memory cell in the second mode. A fourth switch is placed in parallel with the second switch: the output of the fourth switch is coupled to the output of the second switch, to supply the gate voltage of the memory cell in the first mode. Thus, one regulator is used as both the regulator for the drain voltage of the memory cell and the regulator for the gate voltage of the memory cell.

  • Patent number: 8330814
Abstract: An individual detector comprises a range image sensor and an object detection stage. The range image sensor is disposed to face a detection area and generates a range image. When one or more physical objects exist in said area, each image element of the range image includes each distance value up to the one or more physical objects, respectively. Based on the range image generated with the sensor, the object detection stage separately detects the one or more physical objects in the area. Accordingly, it is possible to separately detect one or more physical objects in the detection area without increasing the number of constituent elements for detecting the one or more physical objects.

  • Patent number: 8331734
Abstract: A processing device performs a geometry process as preprocessing for rendering a three-dimensional object on a display by modeling the three-dimensional object using a polygon mesh. The geometry process includes a vertex process that is performed for each of the vertices of the polygon mesh by a different one of a plurality of processors, and processed vertex data obtained by the vertex process is notified among the processors so that a polygon process can be performed in each of the processors. Because each processor can continuously perform the polygon process immediately after the vertex process, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of the unbalance of timing in performing the vertex process and the polygon process, thereby efficiently performing computation while minimizing the wasteful idle time of the processors.

  • Patent number: 8329092
Abstract: A metal powder for use in a metal laser-sintering wherein a three-dimensional shaped object is produced by irradiating a powder layer of the metal powder with a light beam to form a sintered layer and thereby laminating the sintered layers. The metal powder of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises an iron-based powder and at least one kind of powder selected from the group consisting of a nickel powder, a nickel-based alloy powder, a copper powder, a copper-based alloy powder and a graphite powder; and the iron-based powder has been annealed. In such metal powder, the iron-based powder is in a softened state due to the annealing treatment thereof. Accordingly, the use of the metal powder in a metal laser-sintering process makes it possible to reduce a machining resistance attributable to the residual metal powder adherent to the surface of the shaped object, which leads to an achievement of an extended lifetime of a machining tool.
