    Abstract: A current transformer (CT) for the purpose of, for example, current measurement, that uses a power line as a first coil and a second coil for measurement purposes, is further equipped with a third coil. Circuitry connected to the third coil is adapted to measure a signal therefrom. The measured signal from the third coil is compared to a signal measured from the second coil and based on the results, internal CT parameters are determined allowing calibration of actual results to expected results thereby providing an improved accuracy. This is especially desirable when using the CT for measurement of the like of current or phase of the primary coil when measurements are adjusted using the newly determined calibration parameters.

    Abstract: A system and method for the synchronization of a central controller wirelessly for determining values of electrical parameters. The method includes sampling an electrical signal via at least one self-powered power sensor (SPPS); estimating, via the at least one SPPS, a time-stamp based on the sampled electrical signal; estimating, via the at least one SPPS, at least a first electrical parameter; generating a preamble of a packet; generating a synchronization information for a synchronization field of the packet; transmitting the packet components wirelessly; determining a time offset value for the packet based on the time-stamp and the transmission time-stamp of the synchronization information; and transmitting the time offset value by appending the time offset value to the packet, wherein the time offset value is used for determining at least a second electrical parameter.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for electrical parameter measurements at points of interest, such as circuit breakers, machines, and the like. The devices which comprise of components that may require corrections, such as the errors induced by, but not limited to, the use of a split core mounted around a current carrier, and hence calibration coefficients are provided based on test, measurements and/or calculations respective of the devices. These coefficients may be stored in a database for retrieval when calibration of measurements received from a measuring device. In one embodiment at least one of the calibration coefficients is stored on the measuring device.

    Abstract: A circuit tracer for use with circuit breakers equipped with sensors capable of sensing at least a change in the power consumption of the circuit and transmitting, preferably wirelessly, such information. The information is received directly or indirectly by a circuit tracer having a display, the display showing all the circuit breakers equipped with the sensors. Upon changing the load of an electricity outlet, such as a wall outlet, a light source, HVAC, pump, electrical machinery, etc., the sensor equipped circuit breaker provides an indication of such power or current consumption change to the circuit tracer. This allows the user of the circuit tracer to associate on the circuit tracer the circuit breaker with the specific electricity outlet. The association information may be saved on a central server or database for future use.
