Abstract: A method and system for providing kinesthetic awareness may include, but is not limited to, capturing a set of training data with a plurality of sensors of a kinesthetic awareness tool, analyzing the set of training data based on an impact level of the plurality of sensors and a response range of the plurality of sensors, generating a position response based on the analysis of the set of training data, comparing the position response to a target response, and generating a numerical response based on a comparison of the position response to a target response. The method and system may include, but is not limited to, generating a response signal if the numerical response is within a configurable feedback threshold, and outputting the response signal via the plurality of feedback devices. The method and system may receive or obtain reference data, with which the target response may be determined.
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring physiological movements and providing feedback to increase a user's kinesthetic awareness utilizes a kinesthetic awareness tool that includes a plurality of sensors, a processing unit, and a plurality of feedback devices. The plurality of sensors is used to gather data as a set of reference data and in real-time as a user engages in a training session. The plurality of sensors may include an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and ultrasonic range finder. Data obtained during the training session is processed in real-time by the processing unit and compared to the set of reference data. The processing device may then instruct one or more of the plurality of feedback devices to produce a response signal to guide the user to the correct position. The plurality of feedback devices may be configured to provide acoustic, visual, haptic, or kinetic feedback.
