Abstract: A plastic bag has a front panel joined along its side edges to a rear panel with a gusset at one end of the panels. A handle is disposed within the gusset and connected to the panels by a triangular weld.
Abstract: A package made of a flexible laminate has a heat-fusible seal of a strength sufficient to retain vacuum within the package and to withstand handling, but capable of being broken by hand manipulation.
Abstract: A bag of polymeric plastic material has an opening at one end and a gusset at the opposite end. Within the gusset there is disposed a handle welded to front and rear panels of the bag along a fold line. The handle is shorter than the length of the gusset.
Abstract: Bagging apparatus includes first and second horns at least one of which is movable. A carriage for supporting a stack of bags is reciprocable toward and away from a loading position wherein the carriage is beneath the horns and the uppermost bag on the carriage is telescoped over the horns. Then said one horn is movable to stretch the bag at its mouth so that an article may be inserted into the bag. Pneumatic circuitry is provided to cause the movable horn and carriage to be automatically cycled in a predetermined manner. As the carriage moves toward the loading position, an air jet causes the uppermost bag on the stack to be opened.
