Abstract: Aminoimidazoles of the formula ##SPC1##Wherein R.sub.1 is optionally substituted phenyl, R.sub.4 is hydrogen or alkyl, R.sub. 5 is hydrogen or methyl and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 form, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, a saturated heterocycle having 4 to 8 ring members, have valuable psychostimulant properties.
Abstract: This invention relates to thieno-pyridine derivatives which may be represented by either one of the following formulae: ##SPC1##In which R is hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1-6 carbon atoms, and their acid addition salts with inorganic or organic acids.Said derivatives have anti-inflammatory, antalgic and blood-platelet aggregation-inhibiting activity in mice and rats. In addition, they may also be used as intermediates in the synthesis of a large number of derivatives used both in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of thieno[3,2-c]pyridine or thieno[2,3-c]pyridine, comprising cyclizing a N-(3-thienyl)-methyl-N-[ 2,2-(OR).sub.2 ]ethyl-para-toluene sulfonamide or a N-(2-thienyl)-methyl-N-[2,2-(OR).sub.2 ]ethyl-para-toluene sulfonamide, respectively, in which R is lower alkyl or both R groups form together a 2- or 3-membered alkylene radical, by treatment with an acid in the presence of an inert organic solvent.
Abstract: The herein disclosed invention is directed to pharmaceutical compositions of vincamine and theophylline having cerebral vasodilator activity.
