  • Patent number: 9658697
Abstract: A method of repositioning of screen elements from a first orientation to a second orientation with rendering one or more active screen elements on the display area in the first orientation. In one embodiment, upon detection to a second orientation, the active screen elements are re-rendered on the display area to be displayed in the new orientation while the direction of movement of animation remains in the same direction relative to the display area. In another embodiment, the method may consist of maintaining a list of screen elements and a list of graphical features including a directionality indicator where the directionality indicator points in a first direction in a first orientation and the same first direction in a second orientation. Re-rendering may be accomplished using a subset of HTML5 and a subset of CSS3 or its successors without having to use code native to the device containing the display area.

  • Patent number: 9643090
Abstract: A system and method for user activity and preference analysis in a multi-user, multi-location digital environment that analyzes each user's state at each location where the user is present. If the user is present at multiple locations, the system and method also identify users that have mixed states, i.e., active at one or more locations and inactive at one or more second locations. If a user does not have a system-acceptable exception for its inactive state, the system and method may take action with respect to the user, which action may include warning the user or removing the user from the location.

  • Patent number: 8474823
Abstract: A method and system of generating, funding, and distributing multiple jackpots in a game such as poker, specifically such as Texas Hold 'Em. The jackpots may be separate, independent bad beat jackpots that pay out at different intervals due to having independent triggering conditions that have different odds of occurring. Preferably, the triggering condition for each jackpot may be a losing player's hand strength. The specific values for the triggering conditions may be chosen by random, may be generally evenly distributed over the number of jackpots, may be determined by an algorithm, e.g., one that relies on the odds of each hand occurring, or by another method. The jackpots may be funded from rakes collected from substantially every hand that is played—subject to certain prerequisites being established—such that each jackpot may be considered progressive in that it grows over time.

  • Patent number: 8337294
Abstract: A method and system for generating and receiving a combination bet may include presenting a plurality of betting events in a display resembling a slot machine. In one embodiment, the user may place a total wager for a combination bet prior to knowing what the betting events are.
