Abstract: The present invention relates to a parking system, which comprises: (a) plurality of Curb Devices for communication with car device and a host, each Curb Device having its own unique Curb Device ID and is installed close to a corresponding parking space; the Curb device is also provided with a sensor for sensing a physical positioning of a car within the respective parking space; (b) plurality of Car Devices, each Car Device is provided with its own unique Car Device ID, and is positioned at a corresponding car at a location which is visible from the outside; and (c) a Host which is provided with Users Data and Parking Spaces Data, for remotely managing, billing, enforcing and controlling on line and in real time parking of vehicles at each of said parking spaces.
Abstract: System and method for billing of parking fees, including providing a camera adjacent to a supervised parking spot, the camera is located and aimed so as to have a License Plate Number (LPN) of vehicles driving along a lane adjacent to the supervised parking spot and parking in the supervised parking spot within the field of view (FOV) of the camera at least at some time; taking images, in at least one of which LPNs of the vehicles driving along a lane adjacent to the parking spot and parking in the supervised parking spot is visible and clear enough for later extraction; monitoring vehicles travelling along the road lane adjacent to the supervised parking lane; sensing that a vehicle has parked in the supervised parking spot; extracting the LPN of the parking vehicle from the image; and according the parking vehicle an LPN that has been captured for that vehicle.
Abstract: System and method for parking management including an in car device located in the vehicle. The in car device may include a transceiver a processing unit, an input device and a display. The in car device may receive instructions to initiate and terminate parking sessions and upon receiving such instruction to automatically communicate with an at least one parking management unit for exchanging information related to management of the parking session. Parking management units may include single space parking meters, multi space parking meters, parking occupancy meters, parking back end systems, parking back end servers and gates of parking garages.
