    Abstract: A sedimentation tank comprises two sedimentation sections each extending from a narrow end at a common pole to a wide end on the periphery of the structure. The sections are walled by a double start spiral. A flocculating flume runs in one wall and an overflow launder on top of another wall. The spirals preferably follow an exponential law.
