Abstract: A verification server is configured to communicate with a usage target system via a first communication channel and an information terminal device via a second communication channel. The verification server includes: a unit for registering personal information of a user for using a usage target system; a unit for receiving, via the second communication channel, system identification information of the usage target system and a restriction code from an information terminal device owned by a use; a unit for generating an internal system password for the usage target system; a unit for receiving, via the first communication channel, a plurality of characters from the usage target system, the plurality of characters being inputted by a user into the usage target system; and a unit for determining whether the plurality of characters are legitimate based on the internal system password and the system identification information.
Abstract: A system for registering a password derivation pattern for deriving a password to be used in user verification includes a terminal device and a server. The terminal device is configured to display a presentation pattern, the presentation pattern including a plurality of elements, each of the plurality elements being assigned with predetermined characters, so as to cause the user to input a character assigned to a specific element with respect to the presentation pattern. The server is connected with the terminal device via a communication channel. The server is configured to repeat the process of displaying a new presentation pattern until the password derivation pattern is specified based on the character inputted by the user. The server is configured to store the specified password derivation pattern.
Abstract: The present invention is a user verification method and a user verification system, in which a password derivation pattern for each user is pre-registered into a verification server, and when a user is to use the system, the verification server generates a presented pattern and presents this to the user, the user inputs a password corresponding to the user's own password derivation pattern for the presented pattern, the verification server performs verification of the inputted password based on the presented pattern and the user's own password derivation pattern that was registered, and a verification result is then notified to the usage target system.
