Abstract: An elongated dielectric barrier discharge lamp with outer and inner electrodes has a tube that is arranged on the lamp stand end of the discharge vessel and that surrounds the lamp stand. The tube serves to receive a seal in order to install the lamp in a process chamber in a gastight manner. Power supply of the outer electrodes is separated from the power supply for the inner electrodes coming out of the lamp stand by means of the above-mentioned tube. This makes it possible to prevent effectively parasitic discharges between the power supplies which are applied at different potentials during operation also in process chambers under negative pressure.

Abstract: A discharge lamp (1) having an electrically conducting screen (12, 13) which at least partially surrounds the discharge vessel (2). The electrodes (3-5) are separated from the interior of the discharge vessel (2) by a dielectric barrier (6-8). Moreover, this screen (12, 13) is electrically separated from the electrodes (3-5) by a dielectric (2). In order largely to prevent the electric power fed to the lamp electrodes (3-5) during operation from being capacitatively coupled to the electrically conducting screen (12, 13), the thickness dB and the dielectric constant ∈D of the dielectric (2), as well as the thickness dB and the dielectric constant ∈D of the barrier (6-8), which separates the electrodes (3-5) from the gas filling, are specifically mutually coordinated such that the following relationship is fulfilled:

Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting apparatus having a translucent, light-diffusing panel (1), with at least one aperture lamp (2,3) arranged along one edge, extending in a straight line, of the light-diffusing panel (1) and mounted to rotate about its cylindrical axis in a mounting (6,7) and having a screen (4,5) for the at least one aperture lamp (2,3). By rotating the at least one aperture lamp (2,3) about its axis, the light input into the translucent, light-diffusing panel (1) is influenced.
