  • Patent number: 6580401
Abstract: A microwave antenna is described, capable of simultaneous maximum gain communication with N≧2 satellites in geo-stationary orbit. The orbiting satellites are positioned offset relative to each other at a specific azimuth angle(s) &phgr;. The microwave antenna has radiating elements that are divided into N groups (1a, 1b; 1a′, 1b′; 1a″, 1b″ 1c″) of radiating elements. The antenna is characterized by the fact that each of the N groups of radiating elements is organized in a plane, with the planes arranged at specific angles relative to one another corresponding to the respective azimuth offset angle of the satellite to be communicated with, such that the surface normal (FN) of the planes, once the microwave antenna is oriented, point in the direction of the respective satellites.

  • Patent number: 6483392
Abstract: The invention relates to a polarizer (1) for electromagnetic radiation. The polarizer (1) has electrically conductive elements (5, 24) arranged in parallel and it a given distance from each other. The elements (5, 24) are held in position by at least one spacer (3, 7, 9, 23). Each spacer (3, 7, 9, 23) is made of a low dielectric material.

  • Patent number: 6456241
Abstract: The present radiator pertains to a planar array antenna for sending or receiving linear polarized waves, with two radiator levels each comprising radiator elements mounted in lines and columns, while the elements of each radiator level are coupled on a central point so as to be equal in phase and amplitude. Both radiator levels receive and transmit mutually perpendicular polarized waves, and each radiator element has shades (6) and a linear excitrated stripline (16, 161, 16a, 16b).

  • Patent number: 5777584
Abstract: The invention relates to a planar antenna 1 having surface resonators 5, which are connected via a supply network 6 to a supply point 7, the supply point 7 of the planar antenna 1 being connected via a coupling element 13 to an electronic circuit 12, particularly a converter, the coupling element 13 being a coaxial conductor in which the ratio, between the outer diameter of the inner conductor and the inner diameter of the outer conductor 17, changes between the supply point 7 of the supply network 6 and the terminal 11 of the electronic circuit 12.
