Abstract: The intelligent code cart provides assistance and guidance to a response team in performing cardiac pulmonary resuscitation. The intelligent code cart can provide graphical and audio instructions to the team based on the ACLS guidelines and also warn the team in case any errors or omissions are observed in following the ACLS protocol. The intelligent code cart comprises a cart, a control unit, a display, one or more cameras, a speaker and input devices. The drawers of the cart can open or provide access to the tools and medication as needed while maintaining a secure environment for other areas. The monitors record and observe while the display can provide guidance on treatment and can be linked to a historical database, to hospitals, records and other resources for guidance or handoff to other medical personnel.
