    Abstract: A bedclothes retaining system is provided for holding and positioning bedclothes such as sheets, blankets and other covers on a bed. The retainer includes a plurality of elastic straps which are detachably anchored to the bed by cooperating gripping surfaces; for example, hook and loop tape. A clip or snap fastener is provided at the other end of each strap to attach the strap to the bedclothes. The straps are adjustable in length. Provision is made for the convenient addition of a second strap at each anchor point, if desired.
