Abstract: An infant carrier with a detachable diaper type pouch. A harness with a vest type panel mounts on the trunk of the carrying person, either front or back, by means of shoulder and waist straps. An infant is placed in a pouch and the pouch is fastened to the harness. The pouch can be fastened to or removed from the harness without disturbing the shoulder and waist straps. The harness preferably has shoulder and dribble pads, and the pouch preferably provides head support for the infant. Both harness and pouch can be adjusted to suit person and infant respectively.
