Patents Assigned to Patton Electric Company, Inc.
  • Patent number: 5441391
Abstract: An air propelling apparatus/fan is provided having an air intake grill and an exhaust grill mounted on the ends of a cylindrical shroud. A shaft is mounted inbetween and on the intake and exhaust grills and a fan blade assembly is provided on the shaft. In one embodiment, the fan blade assembly is adapted for rotational movement about the shaft and a driven pulley is affixed to the fan assembly and is caused to turn via a belt and an electric motor mounted on the shroud. In another embodiment, the fan assembly is affixed to the shaft and the shaft is adapted for rotational movement. The driven pulley is affixed to the shaft and caused to rotate by an electric motor mounted on the shroud.

  • Patent number: 5342175
Abstract: A grill for appliances such as, for example, portable electric fans, heaters, humidifiers, radios, etc. The grill may be used to prevent individuals from touching the appliance's internal components while, nevertheless, allowing movement of air and sound therethrough and/or merely for decorative purposes. The grill is made up of a plurality of elongate ribs spaced apart from each other and which define a plurality of slots therebetween. Each rib is shaped having a central peak extending upwardly from side portions located on the right and left sides of the central peak. The central peak and the side portions are connected together via a curvilinear region and, thus, each of the ribs generally have a bell-shape. The ribs each have an outer surface that is coplanar with the fan/heater unit front surface and, thus, define a flat plane outer surface. The flat plane outer surface, in perspective, appears to have depth beyond the flat plane surface.

  • Patent number: 4973016
Abstract: A utility support assembly for mounting a dock fan and light includes an articulated multi-arm arrangement and a wall mounting bracket. The multi-arm arrangement includes a pair of inner arms and a single outer arm. The inner arms are vertically spaced apart and pivotally mounted at their inner ends to the wall mounting bracket. The outer arm at its inner end is disposed between and pivotally mounted to the outer ends of the inner arms. Also, fan and light support members are pivotally mounted at the outer end of the outer arm. The fan support member is mounted below the outer end of the outer arm, whereas the light support member is mounted above it. A fan is pivotally mounted to the fan support member and a light is pivotally mounted to the light support member. The pivotal axes of the fan and light on their respective support members are coplanar.

  • Patent number: 4797772
Abstract: An immersion detector circuit interrupter having a sensor located around the electrical components of an appliance and a relay for interrupting the delivery of alternating current to the appliance whenever the sensor conducts a current at a predetermined voltage. The sensor is connected in series with a zener diode, a regular diode, the coil of the relay and to another two diodes which are connected to two alternating current conductors which provide electrical current to the appliance. The sensor is generally always at an electrical potential opposite or substantially different than the electrical potential of the electrical components at any particular point in time.
