Abstract: Apparatus for bending the outer edge of sheet metal members includes a yoke having a substantially C-shaped contour. The sheet metal member is supported to be engaged with one of the legs of the yoke. A movable tool carrier is mounted on the yoke and includes a clamping member for retaining the sheet metal member against the support member and a bending member for engaging the edge of the sheet metal member to bend it about the support member in the desired shape. A reciprocating drive is connected to the yoke for actuating the clamping member and the bending member, and to move the tool carrier relative to the support member.
