Abstract: An apparatus for vaporizing a concentrate and/or a non-concentrate material is provided. The apparatus can include a housing, a reservoir, a vessel, and a heating element. The reservoir can be coupled to a lid of the apparatus and configured to hold the concentrate. The vessel can be disposed at least partially inside of the housing and can be configured to receive the reservoir when the lid of the apparatus is in a closed position with respect to the housing. The heating element can be configured to generate heat for heating the vessel, thereby vaporizing the concentrate in the reservoir to form an aerosol. Coupling the reservoir to the lid of the apparatus can enable the apparatus to be used for vaporizing the concentrate while decoupling the reservoir from the lid of the apparatus can enable the apparatus to be used for vaporizing the non-concentrate material. Related methods are also provided.

Abstract: A vaporization device that includes an entertainment mode or modes including one or more game modes. The vaporization device may enhance the user experience. The entertainment mode may be engaged by a sequence of predetermined manipulations of the vaporization device. The entertainment mode may include one or more interactive games using the device, and/or one or more display modes. The interactive games may include a pattern-following game, a memory game, a triggered output game, or a chance game. The entertainment mode may also include games that may be played by one or more persons. The entertainment mode may modify the operation (e.g., heater control, appearance, user interface, etc.) of the device while still permitting the vaporization of vaporizable material.
Abstract: A self-adjusting floating environment (SAFE) system is described. The SAFE system can include a construction platform which floats on a buffer medium and a vertical motion isolation system. In an earthquake, a construction platform floating on a buffer medium may experience greatly reduced shear forces. In a flood, a construction platform floating on a buffer medium can be configured to rise as water levels rise to limit flood damage. The vertical motion isolation system can reduce the vertical motion of the construction platform induced from vertical ground movements during an earthquake.
Abstract: Apparatuses, including systems and devices (“vaporizers”), for vaporizing material to form an inhalable aerosol that include capacitive lips sensing to regulate the temperature of the vaporizer, including transiently boosting the temperature. Methods of operating a vaporizer having a capacitive lip sensor are also described.

Abstract: Electromechanical systems using magnetic fields to induce eddy currents and generate lift and thrust are described. A circumferential array of magnet elements which can be employed in the systems are illustrate. when the circumferential array rotates round its axis, it generates a travelling magnetic field moving along its axis. The travelling magnetic field over a conductive substrate induces eddy currents in the conductive substrate, the eddy currents provide an opposing magnetic field to generate magnetic lift and thrust to support and drive the circumferential array.

Abstract: Electromechanical systems using magnetic fields to induce eddy currents and generate lift are described. Magnet configurations which can be employed in the systems are illustrated. The magnet configuration can be used to generate lift and/or thrust. Arrangements of hover engines, which can employ the magnet configurations, are described. Further, vehicles, which employ the hover engines and associated hover engines are described.
