Generating email advertisement messages based on the advertisement email campaign template, wherein each of the email advertisement messages includes at least one enhanced mailto hyperlinks, and wherein only one of the generic mailto hyperlinks or email client specific hyperlink can be displayed when the email advertisement message is opened. Transmitting the plurality of email advertisement messages to the list of target recipients.

Each mailto hyperlink may be associated with a product that is being offered for sale, and each mailto hyperlink describes an email message that may be generated when that hyperlink is selected. When a mailto hyperlink is selected, the generated email message may include one or more parameters related to the product associated with the hyperlink, such as an identifier of the product. The generated email message may then be transmitted to the e-commerce system. The e-commerce system may receive the message and, based on the parameters in the received message, execute a transaction to purchase the identified product on behalf of the customer.

Abstract: A method for leveraging email to complete an online transaction from a third party vendor, the method comprising: storing customer information, the customer information including a customer name, customer email address, customer shipping address, and customer billing information. The method further comprises receiving an authorization request from an application programming interface associated with a third party vendor requesting access to a portion of the customer information and receiving confirmation from a customer to allow the third party vendor to access the portion of the customer information. The method further comprising transmitting an access code to the third party vendor and receiving a request message from the third party vendor, wherein the request message comprises the access code, and wherein the request message requests an authorization token. The method may further comprise confirming the received access code and transmitting an authorization token to the third party vendor.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for secure registration to enable transactions between a first user and a vendor that is facilitated by a payment server are disclosed. The method may comprise storing a form soliciting customer information including a plurality of fields, wherein at least one of the plurality of fields is associated with an attribute. The method including receiving a copy of the form including customer data in all of the plurality of fields and transmitting a first subset of the customer data based on the attribute associated with the first subset of the customer data. The method including receiving a token in response to the transmission of the first subset of customer data and transmitting the token and a second subset of the customer data, wherein the second subset is based on the attribute associated with the second subset of customer data.

Abstract: A method for peer-to-peer e-commerce transaction between a first user and a second user that is facilitated by a payment server is disclosed. The method including receiving a money request from a first user, wherein the money request identifies a second user from which money is requested. The method further including transmitting a money request email message to the second user, wherein the money request email includes a token and receiving a response email message to the money request email message, wherein the response email message includes the token. The method further including determining whether the second user is a member based on the received token and an email address associated with the response email message.

The method may comprise generating a token for use with an email checkout, wherein the token comprises a customer name, and customer email address. The processor may generate an email message for at least one recipient, the email message including a mailto hyperlink including the token, wherein the mailto hyperlink generates an email response message addressed to the payment server including the token. The method may comprise receiving a notification from the payment server indicating that the at least one recipient that the email response message was successfully received by the payment server and the email-based e-commerce transaction is successful.

The system may send a first email to the customer email address requesting authorization to complete a purchase. The system may receive a second email, from the customer email address, encoded with the token and confirming or canceling the purchase. The system may authenticate the second email using the customer email address and the token. And the system may transmit a confirmation of purchase of the at least one item to the third party vendor website.

Abstract: An electronic information system which enables email based transactions comprises an information database storing information regarding a plurality of individuals in a group and selections available to individuals in the group. A first email message with a mail to hyperlink having a plurality of fields including actionable parameter is generated and sent. A reply email message is received in response to selection of the mail to hyperlink. The received email message includes the plurality of fields and the actionable parameter that indicates that a specific selection has been made. A processor performs the action indicated by the actionable parameter in response to the received email message, including updating the information database to indicate the specific selection that has been made.

Abstract: An information management system may store information related to tasks to be performed by workers in an organization. Workers in the organization may communicate with the information management system using email messages. The information management system may not require a login or authentication procedure, and workers may interact with the information management system without the need to log in to the information management system. A worker may send an email to the information management system that includes an action type parameter. The action type parameter may indicate a task such as updating a database to indicate that a task has been completed, reassigning a task from one worker to another, or transmitting a report to a worker. The information management system may then perform the action indicated by the action type parameter.
