Patents Assigned to PCR Group, Inc.
  • Patent number: 5334788
Abstract: Substrate compounds are reacted by passing them through an eductor with fluorine gas optionally in the presence of a liquid medium and preferably in a loop reactor with cooling means thereby providing rapid but controlled reaction suitable for industrial scale production. Vinylidene chloride, for example, smoothly produces dichlorodifluoroethane and dichlorotrifluoroethane in good yield.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 1, 1992
Date of Patent: August 2, 1994

  • Patent number: 5104447
Abstract: Aqueous compositions of emulsified oxyaluminum acylate solutions comprising solutions of oxyaluminum acylate in a largely water insoluble solvent, an alcohol or an organic acid, an emulsifier or mixture of emulsifiers, and water are provided. Articles comprising substrates rendered water-repellent with such emulsions are provided as well. A process for the preparation of such articles is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5075351
Abstract: There are provided reinforcing additives, e.g., for polyolefins, comprising (a) a hydrolyzable silane having an ethylenically unsaturated amide substituent and (b) a free radical generator. Also provided is a single step method of using such additives with hydroxyl-containing reinforcements, such as mica to improve processability and physical and thermal resistance properties of reinforced resin compositions.

  • Patent number: 5037873
Abstract: There is provided aqueous silane emulsion compositions comprising hydrolyzable silanes, water thickening agents, water and optional buffers, biocides and water beading additives. The compositions are useful in rendering porous masonry substrates water repellent.

  • Patent number: 4990377
Abstract: There are provided aqueous emulsions useful for rendering porous substrates water repellent having low volatile organic compound content when cured comprising effective amounts of (a) a hydrolyzable silane having a determinable pH-stable range, (b) an emulsifying agent having an HLB value of from 2 to 20, (c) a buffering compound to maintain the composition within the pH-stable range; and (d) water. Such buffered compositions are stable on long term storage and maintain high effective levels of active silane content even when they include biocides which may accelerate the hydrolysis of aqueous silane-containing compositions.
