Abstract: An electronic tracking device includes a housing, a motherboard, and a daughterboard coupled to the motherboard. The motherboard includes processing circuitry configured to operate using a first command set corresponding to a first wireless communications protocol. The daughterboard includes tracking circuitry, wireless transceiver circuitry and translation circuitry. The wireless transceiver circuitry is coupled to the tracking circuitry and is configured to operate using a second command set corresponding to a second wireless communications protocol. The translation circuitry is coupled between the wireless transceiver circuitry and the processing circuitry to provide bidirectional translation between the first and second command sets.
