Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for using contextual information to determine an appropriate response in a system that includes a device paired with an accessory device. The contextual information can be sourced from local sensors, received communications, and information stored on a device within the system. Stored parameters in the system allow flexibility and configurability in evaluating the contextual information. Using feedback obtained after actions taken based on the contextual information allows the system to adapt to better meet the needs of the user.

Abstract: An apparatus, that can be in the form of a wearable device, comprising a display, a memory, and a processor coupled to the display and memory. The processor retrieves a first set of points describing a first vector for a first display element; retrieves a second set of points describing a second vector for a second display element; modifies the first set of points by modifying one or more points in the first set of points to form a modification of the first vector; modifies the second set of points by modifying one or more points in the second set of points to form a modification of the second vector; and sequentially renders in the display the first vector, the modification to the first vector, the second vector with the modification to the second vector, and the second vector without the modification to the second vector.
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and processes are discussed for using metadata to take action on an SMS message on a proprietary system. In some embodiments, a wearable electronic device has a wearable device application that can present an SMS notification from an SMS application of a mobile computing device. The wearable device application can provide SMS notification data to a partner application of the mobile computing device. The partner application can perform a reverse look-up in a contacts application of the mobile computing device and construct a first contacts list with potential SMS-message senders. The wearable device application can present one or more SMS-message actions to a user of the wearable electronic device for a user selection thereof. The partner application can communicate with a partner server, which, in turn, can communicate with an SMS provider to effect the user selection of the one or more SMS-message actions.

Abstract: A description is provided of a wearable device that is made up of a display device and a securing device that provides at least an overlay portion to provide electrical connection to the display device. The display device and the securing device may both contain electrical circuitry. The overlay connection to the display device can create an electrical connection between the electrical circuitry on the display device and the electrical circuitry in the securing device.
