Patent number: 5511967Abstract: A gas assisted injection molding machine includes an injector valve assembly secured to the clamping plate and having an elongate supply duct extending through the core and into the mold cavity. The duct supports a valve member for sliding movement and is itself supported in the core by an ejector sleeve. The ejector sleeve moves with the ejection mechanism to force molded articles off the end of the supply duct.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1994Date of Patent: April 30, 1996Assignee: PEBRA GmbH Paul BraunInventor: Karl Berdan

Patent number: 5484278Abstract: A vent valve for a gas assisted injection molding machine has a valve member to control flow from the mold cavity. A shear co-operates with an anvil in the passageway between the mold and valve member to sever material in the passageway as the molded article is ejected.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1994Date of Patent: January 16, 1996Assignee: Pebra GmbH Paul BraunInventor: Karl Berdan

Patent number: 5473798Abstract: The invention relates to a hose clip with a bearing part for a band tightening screw, a metal housing with a bracket and an annularly curved flat metal band. At one end the metal band is rigidly secured to the bracket and its other free end can be led through a band channel in the housing close to the bracket. In addition, in the region of its free end, the metal band has a grid-like set of perforations with transversely inclined shoulders to engage with a short thread on the tightening screw in the bracket region of the housing. To permit automatic manufacture with a high degree of process reliability, the housing takes the form of a one-piece bent component attached by laser weld seams at joining points in the region of the bearing part and the saddle. In addition, one end of the band is either butt or lap-welded to the bracket by another laser weld seam.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1994Date of Patent: December 12, 1995Assignee: PEBRA GmbH Paul BraunInventors: Artur Baumann, Manfred Geiger

Patent number: 5372491Abstract: In a device for manufacturing composite plastic mouldings, at least two different reaction mixtures are injected simultaneously through different sprues (24,26) into the cavity (28,28',28") of a mould (20,22). During the injection time of at least one of the reaction mixture, the cavity is subdivided into two or more mutually isolated regions. Following the injection of one reaction mixture, the separation between the regions of the cavity is removed and the at least partially liquid reaction mixtures converge in the separation plane. This device makes possible to join at least two materials having different properties in a single operation. It is useful for manufacturing bumper bars, spoilers, coach-work, and internal linings of motor vehicles.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 1993Date of Patent: December 13, 1994Assignee: Pebra GmbH Paul BraunInventors: Walter Fritsch, Manfred Huettner

Patent number: 4767312Abstract: In production of synthetic plastic molded parts, a sprue part is separated from the molded part by one displacing slider which cooperates with one limiting surface and displaces a sprue film from a sprue gap between a sprue passage and a mold nest, while an overflow part is separated from the molded part by another displacing slider which cooperates with another limiting member and displaces an overflow film from an overflow gap between the mold nest and an overflow passage.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1987Date of Patent: August 30, 1988Assignee: Pebra GmbH Paul BraunInventor: Manfred Huttner
