Abstract: An automatic machine (2) for processing objects (3) passing in a flow (F) on a conveyor (4) has a selective ejection device (1) with at least one bar (5) with nozzles (6) that is disposed transverse to the direction of said flow (F), after the outlet or tipping end of said conveyor (4), and having an active surface strip (7) that corresponds to the installation region of the outlet openings (6?) of the nozzles (6) of the pneumatic bar (5), this surface strip (7) being situated beneath the conveying plane (4?) of the conveyor (4).
Abstract: A machine for automatically inspecting a flow (F) of individual objects (2) on a conveying plane (3) includes at least one illumination station (4) and at least one detection station (4?) below which the flow (F) of objects to be inspected passes. The at least one illumination station (4) has means (6) for applying and focusing inspecting beams (R) defining a transverse focused illuminated region (ZEF) The at least one detection station (4?) has a means (9) defining a detection region (ZD) in the form of a transverse strip of size (L) as well as means (9,1) for capturing and transmitting the signal contained in a pixel (10) scanning the detection region (ZD). The focused illuminated region (ZEF) fits along the entire width (L) of the detection region (ZD) within this detection region.
Abstract: Automatic process and installation for inspecting and/or sorting objects or articles belonging to at least two different categories, and made to advance approximately in a single layer, for example on a conveyor belt or a similar transport support. The process includes subjecting the advancing flow of objects or articles to at least two different types of contactless analysis by radiation, whose results are used in a combined manner for each object or article to perform a discrimination among these objects or articles and/or an evaluation of at least one characteristic of the latter, the analyses including at least one surface analysis process able to determine the physical and/or chemical composition of the outer layer of an object or article exposed to the radiation used in this process, and at least one volume analysis process able to determine the equivalent thickness of material of the same object or article.
