Publication number: 20080285237Abstract: The heat sink, particularly for a thermoelectric module, is of the kind formed of a plurality of first fin plates and second spacer plates, alternately disposed side by side and in contact with one another, and comprises fastening members which extend through the first and second plates for fastening one to the other. Each of said first and second plates has on one side at least a protrusion and on the opposite side at least a recess. The protrusion on one side of said first and second plates engages into the recess on a facing side of said second and first plates, respectively, with a positive fit. The protrusion on one side and the recess on the opposite side of said first and second plates are disposed out of alignment relative to a straight line on the plane of the plates intersecting the axis of the fastening members.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2006Publication date: November 20, 2008Applicant: PELTECH S.R.L.Inventors: Giorgio Pastorino, Roberto Carpentieri

Patent number: 7222489Abstract: An integrated thermoelectric module is formed of a set of thermoelectric elements, consisting of N type and P type conductor and/or semiconductor elements electrically connected in series and thermally connected in parallel, the thermoelectric elements being electrically connected in series and/or in parallel and thermally connected in parallel and being assembled on flexible supports of polymeric material, capable of electrically isolating said circuit, but having a high thermal conductivity efficiency. Each support is connected to a heat exchanger by means of connection materials having low thermal impedance allowing optimum connection even at low adhesion pressures.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2003Date of Patent: May 29, 2007Assignee: Peltech S.r.l.Inventor: Giorgio Pastorino

Patent number: 6548750Abstract: The solid state thermoelectric device includes at least an array of metallic conductor and/or N-type and P-type semiconductor thermoelectric elements assembled on a printed circuit and forming thermoelectric couples electrically connected in series. The structure of the device is formed of at least a pair of laminated elements each formed of a supporting layer made of polymeric material and at least a layer of conductive material, a layer of joining material interposed between the two laminated elements of polymeric material for firmly connecting them one to the other. The printed circuit is made from the layer of conductive material of the laminated elements and electrically connects in series the thermoelectric elements to form thermoelectric couples having the hot or cold sides, respectively, on only one side of the structure. The structure of the thermoelectric device has a spirally or circularly wound configuration.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2001Date of Patent: April 15, 2003Assignee: Peltech S.R.L.Inventor: Vincenzo Picone
