Patent number: 9968189Abstract: A platform system removably mountable within an interior compartment of a storage device having a back wall and side walls providing an interior storage compartment. Connecting passages are provided through the back wall and side walls to removably mount the platform system in the interior compartment. The platform system includes a platform and a plurality of connector members attached to the platform and removably connectable through the connecting passages; each connector member including a spring member as part of the construction. The spring members permit automatic downward and movement of said platform as a function of the weight of articles supported on the platform.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: Penco Products, Inc.Inventor: Frank Berlino

Patent number: 9706841Abstract: A storage unit includes an anchoring system. The storage unit includes a back wall and transversely spaced apart side walls providing peripheral walls of an interior compartment for storing articles. At least one retaining member is attached to an interior surface of the storage unit and the back wall includes at least one passage therethrough. The anchoring system including at least one anchoring strap member having a proximal end configured to be securely attached to a supporting wall or member adjacent the back wall of the storage unit. The anchoring strap member(s) extend through corresponding passage(s) and each includes a distal end configured for adjustable attachment to a respective retaining member.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2015Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: PENCO PRODUCTS, INC.Inventor: Calyn Clements

Patent number: 8998276Abstract: A storage system including peripheral walls providing a storage area and a pivotally mounted door closing an opening into the storage area. A latching mechanism includes a latch member attached to a peripheral wall cooperating with an inturned latching member on the door to maintain the door closed. The cooperating latch member and inturned latching member extend for more than 25% of the height of the door and most preferably approximately 100% of the height of the door. In another aspect of the invention the latch member and the inturned latching member overlap each other when the door is closed and are forced in a direction to further overlap when a prying force is applied between contiguous surfaces of the door and peripheral wall.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2011Date of Patent: April 7, 2015Assignee: Penco Products, Inc.Inventors: Kevin Everett Booth, Richard Karl Bowles

Patent number: 8967745Abstract: A mounting system for mounting a bank of storage units in side-by-side relationship above a ground surface includes an elongate member having an elongate top wall, having side edges and at least one leg section extending downwardly from one of the side edges. Each of the at least one leg section includes an elongate flange at a distal end that is contiguous to the ground. The elongate top wall has an elongate dimension between opposed ends for receiving a bank of storage units in side-by-side relationship on an upper surface thereof. The top wall includes attachment members for cooperating with a mounting plate for attaching the bank of storage units in side-by-side relationship to the top wall. The elongate flanges include a plurality of leveling adjuster passages for receiving leveling adjusters therethrough and a plurality of anchor passages for receiving anchoring members therethrough.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2011Date of Patent: March 3, 2015Assignee: Penco Products, Inc.Inventor: Kevin Everett Booth
