Publication number: 20090232974Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to simplify the work of maintaining the covering performance of a covering layer by a method for maintaining a floor covering layer whereby the covering performance of a covering layer B that is formed on a floor (A) and covers the floor (A) can be maintained. In this method, the resin covering layer B having a thickness (T0) of 30 to 100 ?m is formed on the floor. The surface of the resin covering layer B is subjected to dry grinding without the use of a liquid by using grinding pads (6) and (7) provided with grinding surfaces (6a) and (7a) that move along one direction. The generated grindings are recovered, and a layering material (26) for the resin covering layer is then coated onto the resin covering layer (B) to restore the thickness (T1) of the resin covering layer (B), which has been reduced by grinding, to substantially an original thickness (T0).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2005Publication date: September 17, 2009Applicant: Penguin Wax Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tadayoshi Fujimoto, Isao Morita, Katsuaki Namba

Publication number: 20030172480Abstract: A floor working machine includes a body frame (1), an electric drive unit (29), a pad unit including a first pad (21) and a second pad (21) having polishing surfaces (21a) for contacting a floor surface, the first pad and second pad being opposed to each other, and a pad control mechanism (50) for controlling the pad unit by using drive of the electric drive unit. The pad control mechanism (50) controls the first pad (21) and second pad (21) such that the first pad and second pad reciprocate, with the respective polishing surfaces (21a) contacting the floor surface, in a first direction (A) in which the first pad and second pad approach each other and in a second direction (B) in which the first pad and second pad move away from each other. A guiding device (23, 25) guides the first pad and second pad in reciprocating movement such that the first direction and second direction are linear and parallel to the floor surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2002Publication date: September 18, 2003Applicant: Penguin Wax Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasuhiro Ueda, Isao Morita, Hiroshi Suzuki

Patent number: 5435035Abstract: A floor treating machine includes an electric motor, batteries free from leakage and mounted on a motor deck for supplying a current to the electric motor, a rotary shaft extending vertically and driven by the electric motor, and a floor treating device, such as a brush or sponge, detachably attached to a lower end of the rotary shaft to be rotatable therewith. The floor treating device contacts a floor and supports the machine during a floor treating operation. The electric motor is connected to the batteries through an on/off switch. The floor treating machine further includes a rotating rate varying device operable upon start of the electric motor for gradually increasing a rotating rate of the electric motor to reach a predetermined operational rotating rate after lapse of a predetermined time.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1992Date of Patent: July 25, 1995Assignee: Penguin Wax Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tadayoshi Fujimoto, Yoshio Miyazaki, Nobuyoshi Kumaki

Patent number: 5169445Abstract: A floor coating agent applying machine having a movable machine body, an applying member attached to the movable machine body for applying a floor coating agent onto a floor surface. The applying member includes a plurality of elastic rods vertically suspended from the movable machine body, with the rods being arranged in a loop-like formation as viewed from above the movable machine body, an eccentric rotary cam drivably attached to the movable machine body and rotatable on a vertical axis positioned inside the loop of the elastic rods and a circular recess vertically slidably fitted about the eccentric rotary cam so as to cause a rotational force of the cam to elastically deform the elastic rods thus producing vertical vibration of the applying member.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Assignee: Penguin Wax Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Yonehara, Yasuo Yata, Yasuhiko Matsumoto
