  • Publication number: 20090266951
Abstract: A magnetic organizer is provided that includes cooperative magnetic members, one generally planar member and one support assembly having a magnetic member, and including one or more horizontally-extending protuberances on the generally planar member. The protuberances create a non-vertical surface that at least some portion of the support assemblies may catch upon, thereby preventing downward sliding.

  • Publication number: 20090266952
Abstract: A magnetic organizer is provided that includes cooperative magnetic members, one generally planar member and one support assembly having a magnetic member, and including one or more horizontally-extending protuberances on the generally planar member. The protuberance is a double taper ridge and the support assembly includes a clamp assembly structured to engaged the double taper ridge in a clamping manner.

  • Publication number: 20090050861
Abstract: A hand tool includes an elongated plunger assembly and a locking assembly. The locking assembly has a catch assembly with a release actuator. The release actuator is movable in a direction generally not aligned with the tool head plane of motion. The locking assembly catch member is structured to engage the plunger assembly body and maintain the plunger assembly body in a selected position. Further, the plunger assembly is disposed in a socket within the tool head and biased toward an extended position by a spring. The release actuator is, preferably, disposed on the neck of the hand tool just above the user's thumb. When the plunger assembly body is disposed within the tool head and a user desires to extend the plunger assembly, the user actuates the release actuator thereby removing the engagement of the catch member and allowing the socket spring to move the plunger assembly body to the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20080277636
Abstract: A hand tool having an elongated plunger assembly that is rotatably and movably disposed in a socket. The plunger assembly can be rotated between a first orientation and a second orientation as well as being moved between a first, withdrawn position and a second, extended position. The plunger assembly also has an upper notch and a lower notch on a front side and at least one generally flat lateral side. A fixed latch member extends across a portion of the socket and defines a narrow passage within the socket. The hand tool, preferably, includes a compression spring biasing the plunger assembly toward the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20080276766
Abstract: A pair of locking pliers having an adjusting device that utilizes a cam assembly. The pliers, preferably, include a trolley disposed in a first handle member that defines a channel. The trolley is structured to be coupled to a link assembly wherein the position of the link assembly relative to the distal end of the first handle member affects the spacing of the pliers' jaws. The cam assembly is, preferably, a planar disk-like body having a radially extending handle and, preferably, a plurality of flats about the circumference. The cam assembly is disposed, preferably, in the plane defined by the first handle member and the second handle assembly. The cam is coupled to the first handle member at the distal end of the handle portion and its' axis extends generally perpendicular to the plane defined by the first handle member and the second handle assembly.

  • Publication number: 20080277849
Abstract: A sliding clamp and clamp assembly are provided. The clamp assembly includes a cam member that, when actuated, biases a stationary clamp jaw assembly toward another jaw assembly. The cam member utilizes a ball-and-socket coupling to couple the cam member to the sliding clamp bar. The ball-and-socket coupling allows the cam member, and an extended actuator, to be pivoted and rotated into an infinite number of positions.

  • Patent number: 7383760
Abstract: A method of making flechettes employing the use of a progressive die which forms (a) wire that results in the flechette, and (b) strip material that results in a carrier for the finished flechettes. The carrier, which is a bandolier apparatus, is used for progressing the flechette through the progressive die at various forming stations. After forming of the flechette in the die is complete, the final flechette can be severed from the bandolier, or the flechette can remain intact with the bandolier for post-forming operations, such as coating/finishing. The bandolier is thus a novel approach to transporting the flechettes in both forming and post-forming processing.

  • Patent number: 7303065
Abstract: Belt apparatus includes clip assemblies that releasably retain objects to the belt to convey the objects from a point of origination to a destination point. A feed system feeds the objects onto the belt apparatus at the point of origination and a deflector apparatus removes the objects from the belt at the destination point.

  • Patent number: 4586236
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically forming stacks of mechanically interlocked laminated members comprises a punch and die assembly for forming one or more stacks of laminates of the same or different shapes and means associated with one of the laminate dies for measuring stack height to a predetermined dimension. When the desired stack height is reached, the measuring means, which is preferably an optical sensor, transmits a signal to responsive means which, in turn, activates an air cylinder and a slide cam carried by the punch assembly to recycle the operation by commencing the formation of a next stack of laminated members. Improved mechanical interlocking and stacking density is obtained by coining the areas of the mechanical interlocks prior to formation of bow tie shaped interlocks within the punch and die assembly.
