Abstract: Systems and methods related to communication with and control of network-enabled water devices and sensors of various water systems are disclosed. Such water systems may include water filtration systems, water reclamation systems, sump pump systems, pool or spa systems, water softening systems, and plumbing systems. Such water devices may include chemical controllers, smart valves, pool pumps, sump pumps, water softeners, residential appliances, and manifolds. Such sensor devices may include flow meters, splash detectors, motion sensors, moisture sensors, humidity sensors, chemical sensors, water level sensors, pressure sensors, and cameras. Data received from network-enabled water devices and sensors may be processed at a remote server or a local controller, which may cause corresponding alerts or maintenance requests to be sent to one or more user devices or service providers or may automatically control one or more of the water devices and sensors based on analysis of the data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided, which relate to identification, troubleshooting, and maintenance/repair of water systems and water devices within such systems. A given water device may include an identifier which may be captured by an installation device when attempting to install the water device and sent to a remote server. The remote server may identify the water device and provide installation support, registration, and/or configuration of the water device. Configuration of the water device may be performed based on configurations of other highly-performing water devices that are similar to the water device, as identified by the server. Problem signatures associated with known possible problems that may arise within a water device may be generated and stored in memory, then may be referenced against real-time device operation data and/or configuration data of the water device in order to diagnose and recommend remediation of problems with the water device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described, which relate to internet-of-things (IoT) feedback systems, in which data received from a given IoT device may be analyzed by a controller and used as a basis for controlling another IoT device and/or sending an alert to a user. The controller may activate a dehumidifier upon detecting activation of a sump pump. The controller may monitor water level data and alert a user and/or request maintenance of the sump pump upon detecting the water level exceeds a threshold. The controller may monitor dishwasher data to detect suboptimal performance of a dishwasher, in response to which the controller may instruct valves of a manifold and water heater to close to isolate the dishwasher, and instruct a water softener to elevate salt levels of softened water during a self-cleaning cycle of the dishwasher.
