  • Publication number: 20080084479
Abstract: An angular-velocity detector comprises a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor is used for detecting motion around an axis of a second direction perpendicular to a first direction. The second sensor is used for detecting motion around an axis of the first direction. The controller performs an operation that corrects an output error caused by an angle of inclination of the second sensor by using a first correction coefficient that is a ratio of a second amplitude to a first amplitude. The first amplitude is amplitude of output value from the first sensor when the angular-velocity detector is in first motion around an axis of the second direction without second motion around an axis of the first direction. The second amplitude is amplitude of output value from the second sensor when the angular-velocity detector is in the first motion without the second motion.

  • Publication number: 20080084608
Abstract: A dust removal apparatus of a photographing apparatus comprises a movable unit and a controller. The movable unit has an imaging device and is movable. The controller moves the movable unit on a plane that is parallel to a first direction and a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to an optical axis of a photographing optical system that captures an optical image on a photographing surface of the imaging device. The second direction is perpendicular to the first direction and the optical axis. The controller moves the movable unit to a predetermined position that does not make contact with a boundary of a range of movement of the movable unit, and strikes the movable unit against the boundary of the range of movement in the second direction under the condition where a coordinate value in the first direction of the movable unit is held constant, as a dust removal operation.

  • Patent number: 7354439
Abstract: A bipolar high frequency treatment tool includes an inserting portion to be inserted into a human body through an instrument channel of the endoscope. An electrode assembly is attached to the distal end of the inserting portion. The electrode assembly includes a supporting member having a slit, a pair of shafts held by the supporting member so as to cross the slit, and a pair of electrodes. The pair of electrodes is pivotably supported by the pair of shafts so as to open and close like a pair of pincers. An insulator block is located in the slit between the pair of electrodes to prevent the pair of electrodes from making a short circuit within the slit. The pair of shafts is pressed into the insulating block so that the shafts do not come of from the insulating block and hence from the supporting member.
