Abstract: A method and a system for a personalized web page display an image that captures at least part of a targeted web page. The image of the at least part of the targeted web page displayed on the personalized web page is updated by creating an updated image of the targeted web page, storing the updated image on a server and inserting the updated image in the personalized web page. The lay-out of the personalized web page, including selecting a targeted web page and determining a position and a size of the updated image of the at least part of the targeted web page on the personalized web page is determined during a design phase. The personalized web page including the updated image is displayed during an operational phase. During the operational phase an image of the total targeted web page is previewed on the personalized web page.
