    Abstract: Polymerizable dental materials are provided containing at least one polymerizable monomer and/or polymer and a finely divided inorganic filler, said filler being present in an amount of about 10 to 90% based on the weight of the material and having a particle size within the range of 10 to 400 m.mu., said material when polymerized having an extremely high compressive strength, excellent transparency and a very smooth homogeneous surface.
