Abstract: An apparatus and a method for opportunistic user scheduling of two-cell multiple user Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) by a base station, the method comprising: broadcasting signals through random beams to users; and receiving Channel Quality Information (CQI) from best K user set. The CQI is calculated based on all possible combinations of transmit beamforming vectors.

Abstract: A method, system and machine-readable medium are provided for watermarking natural language digital text. A deep structure may be generated and a group of features may be extracted from natural language digital text input. The deep structure may be modified based, at least partly, on a watermark. Natural language digital text output may be generated based on the modified deep structure.

Abstract: A method for identifying a plurality of target nucleic acid molecules in a sample. The method provides a plurality of oligonucleotide probe sets. Each set comprises a first and a second probe, each having a target-specific portion and a tunable portion with an acceptor or a donor group. The first probe further comprises an endcapped hairpin. A reaction comprises a denaturation and hybridization cycle. Under the hybridization, the set of probes hybridize in a base-specific manner to their respective target nucleotide sequences, and ligate to one another to form a ligation product. Under conditions that permit hybridization of the tunable portions of the ligation product to one another, an internally hybridized ligation product formed, which allows the detection of the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). A method comprising PCR amplification is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and system for image reconstruction of data acquired by a device such as computed tomography is provided. The method and system use a multi-stage statistical iterative reconstruction techniques to provide a three dimensional representation of the scanned object. In one embodiment, the first stage uses a projection-based reconstruction technique, such as Ordered Subset (OS) to converge on a solution for low frequency portion of the image. A subsequent stage uses a voxel-based reconstruction technique, such as Iterative Coordinate Descent (ICD), to converge on a solution for high frequency portions of the image. Systems and methods for reconstructing images from incomplete or partial projection data is also provided.
