Abstract: There is provided herein an opaque one-part room temperature vulcanizing silicone polymer composition comprising: (a) a silanol-terminated diorganopolysiloxane, (b) an opaque reinforcing filler; (c) a polyalkoxysilane crosslinking agent; (d) a condensation cure catalyst; (e) an organo-functional alkoxy silane adhesion promoter; and, (f) a cyclic siloxane. There is also provided a method for the continuous production of such a silicone polymer composition, and a paint containing such a silicone polymer composition.

The light emitting diode assembly may comprise a light emitting diode in thermal contact with a heat spreader. The heat spreader may comprise a core and/or fins. The core and/or fins comprise a thermal pyrolytic graphite material. The thermal management assembly comprising the core and/or fins can dissipate heat from the light emitting diode.
Abstract: There is provided novel mono-acrylate functionalized siloxane monomer containing carbosiloxane linkage for improved hydrolysis resistance. This invention also provides copolymers produced using these monomers and their use in various applications.

Abstract: The method includes the steps of functionalizing a polyaryletherketone (PAEK) polymer, and blending the PAEK polymer with water to form a sizing composition. The method may further include the step of applying the sizing composition to a fiber. The method may further include the step of heating the fibers, coated with sizing composition, for example to between 300C-400C. In some methods, the functionalized PAEK polymer comprises functionalized polyetherketoneketone (PEKK). In yet other methods, the functionalized PAEK polymer comprises sulfonated PEKK (sPEKK).
Abstract: A transport puck vertically aligns a caulking cartridge, nozzle-down. The puck includes (i) a substantially solid lower plug portion, having a lead face and a bottom face and an center passageway that is at least partially inverted frustum-shaped that forms a side contact face that tapers from a wider lead face opening to a narrower bottom face opening; and or to a tubular sleeve from the side contact face to the bottom face opening; (ii) an upper sleeve, shaped to receive the caulking cartridge in a desired vertical alignment to the lower plug portion; and (iii) at least one funnel-shaped bore into the bottom face with an inserted connector comprising a head and stem, the head spaced within the bore to define a spacing that has been determined to identify bottom face wear.
Abstract: A thermally conductive silicone composition is shown and described herein. The thermally conductive silicone composition comprises (A) an ionically modified siloxane, and (B) a thermally conductive filler comprising a first filler and a second filler, where the first filler and/or the second filler comprises a plurality of filler types, the plurality of filler types differing from one another in terms of particle size and/or morphology. The ionically modified siloxane may function as a dispersing aid or wetter for efficient dispersion of thermal conducting organic and inorganic fillers to achieve high thermal conductivity.
Abstract: A continuous process for preparing a silylated polymer comprising a silylation step where a prepolymer having reactive functional groups, a first intermediate product, is reacted continuously with a silylating agent in an endcapping tubular reaction unit to form a second intermediate product, and where at least a portion of the second intermediate product is backmixed continuously with the first intermediate product to form the silylated polymer. The continuous process may further comprise a stabilization step, a quenching step or both a stabilization step and a quenching step.

Abstract: A functionalized siloxane includes a ligand capable of coordinating a metal. The functionalized siloxane includes a pyridine-containing ligand attached to a siloxane polymer. The functionalized siloxanes can be employed to provide complexes including a metal that may impart a desired property to the polymer. In one embodiment, the polymer can complex lanthanide metals that are capable of phosphorescing upon exposure to UV irradiation. Such polymers can be employed to provide functional materials such as, for example, luminescent films, coatings, etc.

Abstract: A heater assembly is disclosed herein. The heater assembly may comprise a tubular body. The tubular body may include a graphite core disposed in a heating path.
