Abstract: A method of forming a corrosion resistant bushing includes bonding a sliding layer to a first surface of a load bearing substrate to form a laminate sheet and cutting a blank from the laminate sheet. The laminate sheet includes an exposed surface corresponding to a second surface of the load bearing substrate. The blank includes cut edges having a load bearing substrate portion. The method further includes forming a semi-finished bushing from the blank, and applying a corrosion resistant coating to the exposed surface and the load bearing substrate portion of the cut edges to form the corrosion resistant bushing.

Another grilling belt can include a support having first and second major surfaces, and a first fluoropolymer film overlying the first major surface. The support can include a first fabric having a first bias angle, and a second fabric laminated to the first fabric and having a second bias angle different from the first bias angle by between 20° and 160°.
Abstract: A tolerance ring can include a generally cylindrical body that can include a sidewall that defines a top and a bottom. The sidewall can include an upper unformed band and a lower unformed band opposite the upper unformed band. A plurality of shoulderless wave structures can protrude radially from the sidewall between the upper unformed band and the lower unformed band. Each shoulderless wave structure can be connected only to the upper unformed band and the lower unformed band. The sidewall of the tolerance ring can also include a plurality of unformed sections and a gap that extends along the entire axial length of the body. Each unformed section can be located between a pair of adjacent shoulderless wave structures. Moreover, the gap can establish a split in the body.
Abstract: A sterile connector assembly for mounting on a fluid system includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a stem defining a fluid passage therethrough, a first housing surrounding the stem and defining a first aperture, and a first valve disposed over the first aperture. The second connector includes a second housing configured to matingly engage the first housing. The second housing defines a second aperture and defines a seal structure. The seal structure is configured to engage the stem. The second connector also includes a second valve disposed over the second aperture. The second valve is configured to engage the first valve when the first housing engages the second housing.
Abstract: A sanitary clamp comprises a first member coupled to a projection with at least one external ratchet tooth, pivotally connected to a second member having at least one wall at least partially defining a well configured for receiving the projection. A rocker lock having a first portion and an opposed second portion including an engaging member is pivotally coupled to the at least one wall and configured such that the engaging member is resiliently positioned in the well to engage the at least one external ratchet tooth to latch the projection within the well, and such that the second portion travels outwardly when the first portion is inwardly depressed to retract the engaging member from the well and release the engaging member out of engagement with the at least one external ratchet tooth to unlatch the projection with respect to the well.
Abstract: A maintenance-free and self-lubricant slide bearing comprising a metal support, an intermediate adhesive layer applied directly thereto and a sliding layer based on UHMWPE. The bearing laminate is characterized by a high peel-strength and does not require a surface pre-treatment of the metal support to achieve a strong bonding of the UHMWPE sliding layer to the metal support. The preferred adhesive in the intermediate layer is an anhydride-grafted polyethylene. The invention further includes a process of making the bearing laminate.

Abstract: In the improved barb clamp 110, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the barb fitting 112, 212 has an engineered bore size that has the same cross-sectional area as the bore 100 of the tubing 14. When the improved barb fitting 112, 212 are installed into a tube 14, there is no transition between the inner diameter of the tubing 14 and the inner diameter of the fitting 112. As a result, there is no pressure differential on the tubing or in the fluid from outside to inside of the barb clamp 110. Maintaining a constant pressure or a constant velocity of fluid throughout the system may be imperative in certain medical applications. To accomplish this, the free end 150 of the barb fitting 112, 212 are gradually tapered to a sharp point 152. The sharp point 152 on the free end 150 of the barb fitting 112 also allows for easy insertion of the barb fitting 112 into the tube 14. As a result of this configuration, liquid material can never get between the barb fitting 112, or 212, and the tube 14.
