Abstract: The invention relates to a set of panels, in particular floor panels, comprising a first panel and at least a second panel. The panels are respectively provided with a first edge and with a second edge, wherein the first edge and the second edge are configured to establish a connection between the first and the second panel. The first edge can have a lower lip with a step, and the second edge can have a downwardly open locking groove. A separate clip can be provided which can be attached to the first edge or the second edge and has a moveable clip head, which in the connected state of the panels can cooperate with a locking surface on the second edge or the first edge, respectively, in order to lock the panels vertically relative to the plane of laying.

Abstract: The invention is a joint cover assembly for covering a gap adjacent an edge of a panel that covers a sub-surface, and a method of covering such a gap. The assembly includes a molding having a foot, a first arm, and a second arm. The foot is positioned along a longitudinal axis, and the first arm extends generally perpendicularly from the foot. The second arm extends generally perpendicularly from the foot. A tab depends generally perpendicularly from the first panel engaging surface. At least one of the tab and the foot engage the edge in order to tightly fit within the gap. The method includes the steps of placing the foot in the gap, pressing the respective panel engaging surfaces into contact with respective panels, and configuring at least one of the tab and the foot to cooperate to retain the molding in the gap when the assembly is in an installed condition.

Abstract: Novel devices, systems, and methods for providing exterior flooring that can be installed over existing exterior surfaces, such as surfaces of an outdoor deck, are provided herein. In some aspects, a joint device or joint member for an exterior floor covering can include a body portion and at least one tongue portion extending from the body portion. The joint device can be adapted to connect adjacent floor panels and secure the floor panels to an underlying surface. The joint device can, but is not required to pass liquid therebetween. The joint device and adjacent floor panels can be made of water resistant materials. The joint device can further include an optional opening adapted to receive an attachment member for attaching portions of the joint member to an underlying surface.

One or more structured surfaces, forming embossing surfaces of one or more rollers or moulds, are positioned on top of the decorative lacquered surface, possibly after having cured the lacquer to a desired viscosity, and are continuously or discontinuously pressed on to this. The lacquer will be provided with a surface structure which enhances the decorative effect of the decor. The wear layer is then completely cured.

Abstract: Methods of manufacturing surface elements, such as floor panels, having a wear layer containing hard particles are disclosed, as well as the resulting surface elements. In the manufacturing method, the wear layer is partially manufactured, or may even be purchased as a stock item, before the décor is applied onto the wear layer. Preferably, the décor is applied to the wear layer at a position opposite the intended outer surface of the surface element. Preferably, the décor is printed onto the wear layer on the side of the wear layer intended to be affixed to a supporting core.

The board includes an upper side decorative surface an upper side embossing and a base layer. The embossing is comprised by surface structure areas of which at least four are first and second outermost surface structure areas. The first outermost surface structure area has each one end edge coinciding with the first edge of the board while the second outermost surface structure area has each one end edge coinciding with the second edge. At least two surface structures having different visual characteristics are used, wherein two adjacent outermost surface structure areas within the same board have different surface structures.
