Abstract: A device for removing volatile noxious liquids from photographic film has a film passage with an inlet and an outlet. Inwardly adjacent the film passage the opposite surfaces of the passage have recesses which are connected to a suction source; the inlet is slightly larger than the film so that the suction can act already on the film before the same enters the inlet, so that vapors forming outside the inlet are aspirated by the suction. A portion of the adhering liquid is also removed by this suction. Subsequently the device has in these surfaces two additional recesses which are also connected to a suction source, to remove additional liquid.
