Abstract: A method for the distribution and dispensing of beverages utilizes a one-way system including a disposable and freestanding container. The container is blow-molded in one piece from a preform of plastics. The system also includes a tube to be inserted in the container and a closure cap. The container can be filled, distributed to an end user and connected to standard beverage dispensing structure. After use, the empty container is collapsed and discarded.
Abstract: A closure (2) for a flexible container (2) comprises a valve (7, 8) which is switchable between a closed position and an open position, and a tube structure (9) arranged to be immersed in a liquid in the container (1). The valve comprises a first part (7) arranged to be inserted in an opening (10) of the container (1) and a second part (8) arranged within the first part (7), said first and second parts (7, 8) being rotatable in relation to each other for switching between the closed position and the open position of the valve. The closure (2) is made essentially of plastic material. A method of closing a flexible container (1) is also described.
Abstract: A closure (100) for a keg (14) comprises a housing (160) and at least one valve element (210) that is movable with respect to the housing. The closure also comprises a lock mechanism having a locking element (215) that is movable with respect to the housing and is capable of holding the valve element (210) in the open state. The lock mechanism includes first and second couplings (503, 505) at which the locking element (215) and the valve element are mutually engageable. When the locking element and the valve element are engaged at the first coupling, the locking element moves with the valve element as the valve element moves from the open state into the closed state. This movement of the locking element enables engagement between the locking element and the valve element at the second coupling (503), which engagement at the second coupling occurring on subsequent movement of the valve element into the open state to prevent the valve element returning to the closed state.

Abstract: In a method for distribution and dispensing of beverages, a one-way system is used including a disposable and freestanding container (100) blow moulded in one piece from a preform of plastics, and a tube structure having a tube (136) to be inserted in the container and a closure cap (102). The thin-walled container (100) is filled with beverage by means of the tube (136) and then closed by the closure cap (102). This filled unit (100, 102, 136) is distributed to the end user and connected to standard beverage dispensing means (138). After use, the empty container (100) is collapsed and discarded along with the tube structure which also is made of plastics.
