    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a heated liquid bath heated by a heating device, particularly an electric resistance heater, particularly for monitoring overheating and/or a decrease in the liquid level, wherein by means of a temperature sensor an actual temperature is determined and, as a function of the actual temperature measured with the temperature sensor, an alarm and/or control signal is emitted, wherein by means of the temperature sensor the actual temperature of the heating device or in the region of the heating device is determined.
