Abstract: A solenoid-operated normally open two-way fluid control valve has a lever operably connecting a reciprocally movable solenoid plunger and a reciprocally movable seal pin. When the solenoid is in its deenergized condition the solenoid plunger acts upon the lever to maintain the seal pin in its normal open or unseated position. Energization of the solenoid removes the influence of the plunger upon the lever and permits the seal pin to be spring biased to its closed or seated position. When the solenoid is deenergized the solenoid plunger is spring biased toward the lever and acts through the lever to exert impact force on the seal pin to unseat it.
