Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for performing catalytic transalkylation between long-chain dialkyl benzenes and benzene in order to obtain monoalkyl benzenes. As dialkyl benzene source, this method employs the by-products of a method for alkylation of benzene with linear C9-C16 monoolefins.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for obtaining a highly soluble linear alkylbenzene sulfonate with an adjustable 2-phenyl isomer content and an extremely low sulfonation color. In which a catalytic system based on highly stable solid catalysts and with a high selectivity for linear monoalkylated compounds is used.
Abstract: A metering valve for hydrofluoric plants, comprising a flow chamber for the flow of the fluid, housing a plug and having an inlet passage and another outlet passage, a guide body through which the actuator stem for actuating the plug member runs, and an actuator head. The flow chamber internally has guides parallel to the stem which guide the plug. A ring constituted of an iron, copper and nickel alloy is screwed in at the outlet passage.
Abstract: A process is described for the alkylation of benzene (in general, aromatic hydrocarbons), with C.sub.2 -C.sub.20 monoolefins in the presence of an aluminum-magnesium silicate catalyst, to give linear alkylbenzenes of detergent range, basic product in the manufacture of biodegradable detergents. The process is continuously carried out in a fixed bed, the alkylation taking place in a liquid phase. The alkylation catalyst is mainly made up of aluminum silicate and/or magnesium silicate and is conveniently modified to improve its activity and attain an adequate yield and selectivity in the alkylation for the desired product.
