Abstract: A process for conglutinating wood fragments wherein the wood has middle lamella lignin, comprises incubating the wood fragments in an incubation mixture containing a phenol oxidizing enzyme thereby activating the middle lamella lignin. This makes it possible to produce formed bodies such as fiber boards, for example, without chemical disintegration and without addition of binders.
