Abstract: A watch worn by a user for interfacing with or integrated with a mobile communication device. The mobile communication device provides wireless communications with other communications devices. The watch also includes an electronics module integrated into the watch. The electronics module includes an interface for interfacing with the mobile communication device integrated into the watch. The user interfaces with the electronic module to perform operations upon the mobile communication device. In addition, the watch includes a mechanism for directing sound to the user's ear for private calling. The watch may also come with one or more pivotable bezel or a keyboard on a strap of the watch to increase the size of the user input.

Abstract: An apparatus worn by a user utilizing projected sound in a companion device for a mobile phone. The apparatus includes a an attachment device for attaching the apparatus to the user and an interface for using the mobile phone from the apparatus. The user interfaces with the apparatus to perform operations upon the mobile phone. A mechanism is utilized to establish a voice channel with the mobile phone for performing phone operations through the mobile phone. In addition, the apparatus includes a speaker for projecting directional sound through the speaker. In one embodiment, the apparatus utilizes a parabolic reflector. In another embodiment, modulated ultrasound is emitted from the speaker. The apparatus may be mounted to a watch, a shoulder of the user, or a vehicle.
