    Abstract: A child resistant carton assembly includes a carton including a body panel. A locking panel is spaced apart from the body panel. The locking panel and the body panel define a locking chamber therebetween. A tray is slidably mounted in the carton. The tray includes a locking tab adapted to releasably engage the locking panel such that at least an insert portion of the locking tab is disposed in the locking chamber. A method is provided for using a child resistant carton including a carton and a tray slidably mounted in the carton. The carton includes a body panel and a locking panel spaced apart from one another and defining a locking chamber therebetween. The tray includes a locking tab. The method includes inserting at least an insert portion of the locking tab into the locking chamber to resist withdrawal of the tray from the carton, and displacing the locking tab from the locking chamber to release the tray.

    Abstract: A label construction formed of a first bottom panel with an adhesive backing for affixation to a pharmaceutical container, and a second series of panels in the form of a folded leaflet attached to one edge of the panel, and a third panel attached to the other edge of the bottom panel. The cover panel contains product identifying indicia on a primary portion as well as an indicated marginal area affixed to the container and separated from the primary portion by a tear line. The marginal area provides a place for the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturer to place statutory information relating to lot number and expiration date. The leaflet formed of the second series of panels is separated from the first bottom panel by a perforated transverse fold line. The bottom panel contains substantially the same label indicia as the cover panel without the indicated area for the statutory information. The leaflet panels are folded together between the first and third panels.

A second panel is separated from the first panel by a transverse fold line. The second panel contains substantially the same label indicia without the indicated area for the statutory information. A plurality of further panels which contain printed instructional information are attached to the second panel and folded together between the first and second panels. The second and successive panels are separated from the first panel by the consumer along a tear line situated between the first and second panels and become a folded literature leaflet.
