Abstract: The invention includes a method of providing an intermediary layer in a laminated structure, between two adjacent layers, where the intermediary layer contains a fiber having an extrusion coating. The intermediary layer may form a textile constructed from the fibers, the intermediary layer, when the lamination method proceeds, provides the adhesion between the adjacent layers, as well as reinforcement for the laminated structure.

Abstract: The invention is directed to stands and methods for making the same. The stand is provided to hold an item such as an electronic device and/or a document. The stand may include (1) a base plate provided to support the stand on a support surface and/or by a user holding the base plate; (2) a plurality of hinge assemblies connected to the base plate; and (3) a platform assembly pivotally connected to the hinge assemblies, such that the angular disposition of the platform assembly is adjustable relative to the base plate.

The reading stand may comprising a base portion including at least one base portion sidewall, the base portion sidewall being supported by the base portion; and a platform portion forming a support surface to support the document, the platform portion including at least one page holder to retain the document. The reading stand may further include a side support clip extending from the platform portion such that the base portion sidewall is receivable between the platform portion and the side support clip in an assembled position, the side support clip having a protuberance disposed thereon, the protuberance engageable with the base portion sidewall. The assembled position affords side reading.

Abstract: The invention provides holder devices and methods of making and using the same. The holder devices described may be used to hold a wide variety of personal electronic devices, as well as other items. Illustratively, the holder device may include a body portion, at least two holder sides, and an extension portion. Each of the holder sides may be disposed in slots in the body portion. The holder sides may be in the form of an elephant head, for example. The extension portion may be selectively positioned in either a stowed position, an extended position, or some interim position. In the extended position, or partially extended position, the extension portion provides enhanced stability to the holder device.
