Abstract: A system has a contactless user-interface through which a user controls a functionality of the system. The contactless user-interface has a detector sub-system and a user-feedback sub-system. The contactless user-interface has an alert mode and a control mode. In the alert mode, the user-feedback sub-system has a display monitor to provide a visible acknowledgement to the user, in response to the detector sub-system having detected the presence of the user within a an alert range. The contactless user-interface transitions from the alert mode to the control mode in response to the detector sub-system detecting an initialization gesture of the user. In the control mode, the contactless user-interface controls the functionality in response to the detector subsystem detecting a control gesture of the user. The visible acknowledgement is made to mirror the movements of the user.

  • Publication number: 20140221838
Abstract: An ultrasound system performs duplex colorflow and spectral Doppler imaging, with the spectral Doppler interrogation performed at a sample volume location shown on the colorflow image. The colorflow image is displayed in a color box overlaid on a co-registered B mode image. A color box position and steering angle processor analyzes the spatial Doppler data and automatically sets the color box angle and location over a blood vessel for optimal Doppler sensitivity and accuracy. The processor may also automatically set the flow angle correction cursor in alignment with the direction of flow. In a preferred embodiment these optimization adjustments are made automatically and continuously as a user pauses at points for Doppler measurements along a length of the blood vessel.

  • Publication number: 20140212011
Abstract: A nuclear camera acquires projections which are iteratively reconstructed by a reconstruction processor into an motion-artifacted image and stored in an image memory. The motion-artifacted image is forward-projected by a forward-projector to create forward-projections which are compensated for image degrading factors, such as resolution recovery, scatter and attenuation, and are compared with the acquired projections by a comparing unit to generate a motion-correction. A motion compensator operates on the acquired projections with the motion-correction to generate a motion-corrected projection data set in which each of the projections is in a common motion state. The motion-corrected projections are reconstructed into a motion-corrected image.
