    Abstract: A system associated with an aerosol-generating device is provided, the system including: one or more biosensors configured to obtain biometric information of a user having an age; and one or more controllers configured to: analyze the biometric information obtained by the one or more biosensors to determine whether the age of the user is above or below an age threshold, and generate a control signal for controlling operation of the aerosol-generating device based on whether the age of the user is determined to be above or below the age threshold. A method for controlling operation of the aerosol-generating device is also provided.
