Abstract: Disclosed herein is a catalyst system comprising (i) a heterocyclic 2-[(phosphinyl)aminyl]imine transition metal compound complex having Structure I wherein T is oxygen or sulfur, R1 and R2 are each independently a C1 to C20 organyl group consisting essentially of inert functional groups, R3 is hydrogen or a C1 to C20 organyl group, L is a C1 to C20 organylene group consisting essentially of inert functional groups, MXp represents a transition metal compound where M is a transition metal, X is a monoanion, and p is an integer from 1 to 6, Q is a neutral ligand, and q ranges from 0 to 6, and (ii) an organoaluminum compound. Also disclosed herein is a process comprising contacting (i) ethylene, (ii) a catalyst system comprising (a) a heterocyclic transition metal compound complex having Structure I as described herein and (b) an organoaluminum compound, and (iii) optionally hydrogen to form an oligomer product.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to methods and systems for achieving enhanced catalytic performance via the strategic arrangement of multiple catalyst beds in series, where each catalyst bed comprises a compositionally-distinct catalyst, and each catalyst facilitates the conversion of the same structural moieties on the reactant to form the same product. Arranging multiple catalyst beds according to the methods and systems disclosed herein allows a predictable enhancement of conversion of the reactant to product without the need for time-consuming experimentation to test all possible catalysts configurations.
Abstract: Techniques for drilling wellbores are described. The techniques include a) introducing a drilling fluid composition into a borehole defined by a formation; b) introducing a thinner composition including at least one tannin and at least one metal salt into the borehole; and c) contacting the thinner composition and the drilling fluid composition in the borehole, wherein the at least one tannin and at least one metal salt are not complexed ex situ. The at least one metal salt includes at least one copper salt, at least one zinc salt, or both at least one copper salt and at least one zinc salt.

Abstract: An electrically operated aerosol-generating system is provided, including a main unit and a tubular aerosol-generating article. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for forming an oligomer product comprising (a) introducing into a reaction zone (i) ethylene; (ii) a heteroatomic ligand metal salt complex comprising a heteroatomic ligand complexed to a first metal salt; (iii) a second metal salt wherein an equivalent molar ratio of the second metal salt to the heteroatomic ligand of the heteroatomic ligand metal salt complex is at least 0.5:1 and where the second metal salt is an iron salt, a cobalt salt, or any combination thereof; (iv) an organoaluminum compound; and (b) forming an oligomer product. Also disclosed herein is a process comprising (a) introducing into a reaction zone (i) ethylene; (ii) a heteroatomic ligand; (iii) a metal salt where an equivalent molar ratio of the metal salt to the heteroatomic ligand is at least 1.5:1; (iv) an organoaluminum compound; and (b) forming an oligomer product.
Abstract: A system for recovering nitrogen during regeneration of a treater, the system including an adsorbent bed downstream of the treater, wherein the adsorbent bed comprises an adsorbent operable to adsorb at least one impurity from a treater bed regeneration effluent stream comprising nitrogen to provide a nitrogen product having a higher nitrogen purity than a nitrogen purity of the treater bed regeneration effluent stream. A method for recovering nitrogen during regeneration of a treater is also provided.

Abstract: A gas phase polymerization process is described that includes contacting a polymer seed bed with a desiccant. Abstract: A process and system for desalting crude oil includes delivering a stream of salty crude oil and wash water into a mixing valve, mixing the stream of salty crude oil and wash water through the mixing valve to create a mixed stream of desalted crude oil and salty wash water, delivering the mixed stream of desalted crude oil and salty wash water to a static mixer, and mixing the mixed stream of crude oil and wash water in the static mixer. Within the static mixer, the mixed stream is mixed in a coalescing regime to coalesce smaller droplets of water into larger droplets of water. The mixed stream is then directed to a desalter where the salty wash water is separated from the desalted crude oil.

Abstract: Processes for removing carbon disulfide from product streams containing a sulfide compound are performed by contacting the product stream with an alkanolamine and converting the carbon disulfide to a higher boiling point product, thereby reducing or eliminating carbon disulfide from the product stream.
