Abstract: Disclosed is a system and associated methods for assistive video capture. The system is implemented using one or more sensors that are associated with and track movements of a video capture device. The system selects a three-dimensional (“3D”) path that defines 3D positional movements for guiding a video capture of a target object from different positions. The system tracks movements of the video capture device based on sensor data. The system compares the movements of the video capture device at different times of the video capture to positions that are specified for the video capture at those different times by different sets of the positional movements, and updates a user interface according to the movements of the video capture device following or deviating from the different positions that are specified for the video capture at the different times.

  • Patent number: 11750917
Abstract: A system for consistently imaging objects may include an imaging device that presents a visual guide on a display for aligning with a target object, and that uses sensors of the imaging device to provide exact direction for correctly aligning the visual guide with the target object prior to capturing an image of the target object. The system may include a device that receives a particular image of a particular object, selects a model that defines positional commonality or visual characteristic commonality between a set of images of the particular object or a particular object type that includes the particular object, and that generates an edited image by correcting one or more deviations between positioning of the particular object in the particular image and the positional commonality specified in the model, or between visual characteristics of the particular image and the visual characteristic commonality specified in the model.

  • Patent number: 10412300
Abstract: Provided is an imaging apparatus incorporating the “eye” of a professional photographer with photography equipment. The imaging apparatus obtains different sets of wireframes when photographing different objects. Each set of wireframes is keyed to a particular object and provides one or more of the proper framing, zooming/scaling, alignment, camera settings, and other characteristics with which to take professional-quality photographs of that particular object. The wireframes from a particular set of wireframes keyed to an object are sequentially presented on a display of the imaging apparatus. Each wireframe is overlaid atop a real-world view being captured by the apparatus camera in order to direct a shot of specific parts or aspects of the object. In some embodiments, each wireframe is also associated with post-processing routines that specify editing, adding effects or filters, or otherwise touching an image that is captured with the corresponding wireframe.
