Abstract: In this era, secured electronic medical records are a given for medical decision making at point-of-care and continuity of care of patients. Multiple attempts are underway to pave way for a hundred percent use of electronic medical records. One such specialty paving the way is Cardiology; and the reason perhaps is the many life-saving devices that are used and the numerous data that are accumulated over time. This invention concerns embedding patient data of cardiac implantable electronic devices, namely: pacemakers, defibrillators, combination of the these two devices, cardiac resynchronization therapy, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and combination of this with a defibrillator into a phone and tablet application for ios, android and other phone platforms MY PACER APP.

Abstract: This invention concerns a novel practical application of using secured electronic form of medical record keeping in protecting and securing patient privacy specifically and only in regards to information pertaining to patients' pacemaker and or icd data or interrogation record. After system and technology approval by the Office of Civil Rights, Department of Health and Human Services and Health IT., patients' consents will allow securing information regarding their pacemaker and icd interrogation. The PACEMAKER ICD ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD www.pacemakeremr.com when implemented will allow secured but easy access to this specific (pacemaker icd data or interrogation data) health information as allowed by the patient, especially when they travel from one facility to another or from one provider to another. It will also prevent any possible unnecessary checking of the instrument since the information will be accessible online.

Abstract: Left Ventricular Outflow Device (LVODe) is a medical apparatus implanted to enable normal flow from the left ventricle to the aorta in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a congenital disease of the heart with heterogenic genetic phenotypes that result in obstructed flow to the aorta. Echocardiography characterizes HCM as having left ventricular wall thickness greater than 25 mm, asymmetric hypertrophy, left ventricular outflow obstruction, systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve. Patients present with sudden death, perilous arrhythmias, anginal symptoms, and exertional dyspnea. Treatments used for HCM are medical therapy, surgical myectomy and alcohol septal ablation; which are not without adverse effects. In addition, the structural variation of HCM makes no one particular treatment the magic bullet. Hence the concept of LVODe: a method to modulate the abnormal dynamic flow obstruction to the aorta. The success of the device will hinge on its clinical trials or outcomes.
