Abstract: A. tamper evident container includes a cover having a first interlocking flange with a first tab for opening and closing the container and a first extension joined to the first tab along a frangible score line, a base having a second interlocking flange with a second tab for opening and closing the container and a second extension joined to the second tab along a frangible score line, the first extension including one or more first interlocking elements and the second extension including one or more second interlocking elements, where the first and second interlocking elements, when securely fastened together, prevent access to the first and second tabs, and require more force to separate than to sever the first and second extensions along the frangible score lines.
Abstract: A tamper evident container includes a cover comprising a first interlocking flange with a first inner tab and a first outer tab separated by a first severable line and a base comprising a second interlocking flange with a second inner tab and a second outer tab separated by second severable line, where the first and second interlocking flanges are configured to be fastened together and the container is configured to be opened by separating the first and second inner tabs from the respective first and second outer tabs while one of the first and second outer tabs remains attached to the container and another of the first and second outer tabs is separated from the container and remains attached to the one of the first and second outer tabs.
Abstract: Systems and methods for nesting product packaging with strainer inserts are provided. Product packaging systems may include, for example, a product container with a lid and with a strainer insert disposed within the container. In some embodiments, the strainer inserts may be snapped into place in a channel, groove, or other retention feature of the parent container, thus permitting coupling without the use of adhesives or fasteners. The strainer inserts, when coupled within the parent containers, may define a drainage volume in which product fluids may drain to maintain the product separately from the fluids, e.g., to prolong shelf-life of the product.
Abstract: A tamper evident container includes a cover with a first interlocking flange with a first tab for opening the container and a first extension joined to the first tab along a first frangible score line, a base with a second interlocking flange with a second tab for opening the container and a second extension joined to the second tab along a second frangible score line, a rim extending around a perimeter of the base, the rim having a flat portion connected to an outer wall, and a flange portion extending from the outer wall portion, wherein a position of the flat portion and the flange portion correspond to a sheet line, and wherein the first and second interlocking flanges, when securely fastened together, prevent access to the first and second tabs, and require more force to separate than to sever the first and second extensions along the frangible score lines.
